What is Ginger Ale & Lexapro?

I started publishing content under the name, Ginger Ale & Lexapro on Instagram, around this time last year. I wanted a place where I could be unrestricted in my creativity. When I was in high school, I started to make collages for the front of my binders. I would sift through stacks of magazines, clipping images I thought were interesting or aesthetically pleasing. I spent hours gluing and taping ads together and writing down my favorite quotes or lyrics at the time to accompany the photos.

During my senior year of college, I took a CAD class for my specialization or minor, and I enjoyed that course so much, that I seriously questioned my major at the worst possible time. I loved that I had designated time carved out where I could just make shit that I wanted to on Photoshop or Illustrator. Ginger Ale & Lexapro is a way for me to express myself in a different way. I think of it as my inner mood board and I hope you enjoy the content I create.

I chose the name, Ginger Ale & Lexapro, because at the time, that is what my body was fueled by. Now, I might call it Hummus & Lexapro or Starbucks & Lexapro, but I think the original name flows better.
