My Full Face Makeup Routine

Hey Babes!

While I love to wander aimlessly through Sephora and Ulta, swatching products on my hand, I am super basic when it comes to doing my own makeup. When I was going to my senior prom in 2013, my parents paid someone to do my makeup for me to alleviate some stress from the day, and it was horrible. I looked like an amateur drag queen. Not cute. I ended up taking all of that makeup off and redoing it in a more natural subtle way. So, today even though I am sharing my full-face routine, to some this may be more of an everyday look, but to each their own!

Priming Time

I start off every makeup look, by wiping my face with a makeup remover wipe, to make sure my face is clean. Then I spritz some rosewater spray, douse my face with moisturizer, dab a little oil all over, and gently apply some eye cream because, God knows I need all of the eye cream I can get. The last step in my priming ritual is to apply a little green tinted primer to reduce any redness.

The biggest difference in my routine when I apply my full-face verses my everyday look is eyeshadow. I prime my lids with a little bit of concealer, mostly because I'm too cheap to buy eyeshadow primer and I apply a swipe of eyeshadow. I just do a neutral lid color and then I apply a very fine line of liquid eyeliner.

Then it's on to the face. I apply some tinted moisturizer and then I add a thicker concealer all over and blend into my skin with a damp Beauty Blender. Next, I go in with a thinner concealer under my eyes. Once I have concealed any blemishes, I set my skin with a powder foundation. Maybe that raises a red flag to you, but that's what I do and never have I ever been called cake face. To warm up my complexion, I add a very light touch of bronzer to my fair skin and a little highlighter.

The Finishing Touch

After my face is done, I move over to my eyebrows. I prefer to do them later on in my routine, because I feel like if I do them first, then I'll get foundation in them. Once my brows are filled out, I spritz a little more rosewater spray on my face and curl my lashes. I have THE WORST luck with mascara so I don't apply any until I'm about to run out the door. I also like to add on a little bit of color to my lips and we're done!

That's how I do my full face makeup routine! Is your full face minimal like mine or are you more adventurous with your looks?

xoxo,

Kelly
