Haute & Healthy-ish Pizza
Hey Babes!
Not to be that basic bitch with no personality, but I love pizza. Pizza is one of my favorite foods. I enjoy a plain slice well done with crushed pepper flakes, a slice of white with a heaping amount of ricotta cheese, Sicilian pizza, and obviously a greasy piece of pepperoni. While I could eat pizza all the time and I live off of pizza on Fridays during Lent, it’s not the best thing to eat all the time. Today I am stepping back into the kitchen to share my favorite healthy-ish pizza recipe with all of you.
Here’s What You’ll Need!
Flatout Flatbread or any type of vehicle
Fresh Garlic
Olive Oil
Mozzarella Cheese
Ricotta Cheese
Parmesan Cheese
Cherry Tomatoes
Spinach
Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
Time To Cook!
First, you’ll need to preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grab a baking sheet. To prep your pizza, drop a small amount of olive oil on your crust and spread it around with a spoon. Next, if you like garlic, finely chop a small piece and place it on the crust. You could also do a garlic paste if you don’t enjoy chunks of garlic, but I’m not that advanced.
Now it is time for the toppings! I use a variety of cheeses on my pizza. I like sprinkle mozzarella, a few dollops of ricotta and a dusting of parmesan at the end. On my white pizza, I really like small tomatoes and spinach, but you can add on whatever you’d like!
Then it is time to toss that baby into the oven. I leave mine in there until it is a golden-brown color which usually takes around 12-18 minutes, but be careful because I have burnt the flatbread crust before and that is not ideal.
To finish off your masterpiece, sprinkle a few crushed red pepper flakes for a little kick. Finally, it is time to enjoy your slice of pie!
What kind of pizza is your favorite?
xoxo,
Kelly
