My Nighttime Skin Care Routine
Hey Babes!
Confession Time…
When I was younger, I used to go to sleep in a full face of makeup. Yes, I’m being dead serious. On the rare occasion, I would use a makeup cleansing wipe, but on a day to day basis, I fully slept in my makeup. I also had zero shame about it!
Fortunately, I never ran into an issue with acne. Partially because I slept like a corpse, but mostly because I just got lucky. Thank you genetics.
Over the past couple of years, I have developed a skincare routine that is simple, effective and most importantly, one I am consistent with.
Also, I am not a dermatologist. Just a bitch who spends way too much money at Sephora. Take any recommendation I make with a grain of salt.
So, without further ado, here are the products I use.
Makeup Remover Wipes
I use this to gently remove my face makeup.
Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water
I use this on a cotton ball or round to remove more of my makeup that the wipe didn’t pick up.
First Aid Beauty Pure Skin Face Cleanser
First Aid Beauty cleanser is my favorite even if it smells like something an old lady would use.
Thayer’s Witch Hazel Toner
Once dry, I pat this onto my skin and then I fan my face to let it dry.
The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Hydrating Serum
I use a drop or two and apply it all over my face. It has a sticky consistency, so use it under your other serums.
The INKEY List Collagen Booster Firming Peptide Serum
I don’t know if this product actually works, but I am slowly approaching my *gasp* 30’s, so I need to hold onto whatever collagen I have left.
rhode Peptide Glazing Fluid
Oooh… I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! I feel like it locks in my serums before I apply my moisturizer.
The True Cream - Moisturizing Bomb by belief
I love how thick and luxurious this cream feels on my skin. It also provides me with an immediate healthy glow.
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask in Berry
I apply this product liberally all over my lips! It definitely lives up to the hype.
Other Products I Occasionally Include
Isle Of Paradise Self Tanning Drops in Light
I started using these tanning drops this past summer and I love the subtle natural glow it provides. I have the lightest shade and I use it conservatively with my moisturizer.
Elaluz Beauty Oil
This oil is a luxury product to me! I love how rich and nourishing it feels. If you want to look like a glazed Krispy Kreme this oil is a must for you.
Rubbing Alcohol
I have been using rubbing alcohol sparingly on breakouts since I was a teenager. It’s a trick my mom taught me and I only do it when I have a huge pimple.
That sums up my nighttime skin care routine! What products do you use?
xoxo,
Kelly
