Summer Fridays Dream Lip Oil Review

In my most recent beauty post where I shared my favorite lip glosses, I might have mentioned that I fully intended on purchasing The Summer Fridays Lip Oil. And I am nothing if not a fiscally irresponsible woman of my word. So, let’s review it!
Price Point: $26
The lip oil is about a dollar or two more expensive than the brand’s lip butter balm (which I love), but the lip oil is significantly cheaper than the Dior Lip Oil. I purchased the product in the shade Blush Dreams.
Before Use
Pros
The lip oil is Leaping Bunny Certified which is great for conscious consumers who want to make sure their products are cruelty free.
The product is unscented- love!
The packaging is clean, chic and a little modern. It’s a cute gloss that’s meant to be seen!
Cons
I am definitely jaded by the pricing of prestige beauty brands, but if we are being honest and realistic, $26 for a lip oil is absurd.
I wish they came out with a clear version as well!
AFTER USE
The product is extremely moisturizing and it feels buttery when applied. Also, I'm not sure why it's called an oil. The lippie is more of a sheer cream, like a glaze. The color is incredible. It's like my natural lip color but better. It is definitely thicker than my Dior Lip Glow Oil and I would say it is most comparable with the tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip.
Would I purchase it again? Truthfully, probably not. I am more of a clear gloss kinda girly swirly!
