My Summer Wardrobe Essentials
Hey Babes!
As our personal style evolves, so do our wardrobe essentials. I think wardrobe must-haves vary depending on the person and their vibe, so what I believe to be the building blocks of my closet, might not be the same as yours. Hell, my essentials now definitely aren’t the same as they were a year ago. So, today I am sharing my five summer 2019 wardrobe must-have items.
Jumpsuits & Rompers
I live for a jumpsuit and/or romper and it is such an easy piece to throw on, until it is time to go to the bathroom. Anyway, I love wearing jumpsuits and rompers because they can be super causal or dressy depending on the material and the way you style them.
White Sneakers
It is no secret that I am a sucker for a sneaker. A pair of fresh white kicks are the perfect summer shoe, because you can wear it with anything and it immediately makes your ensemble cool and laid back. I am neither laid back or cool, but I like my clothes to give off the vibe that I am.
Midi Dress
The midi dress has fully replaced the maxi dress in my wardrobe. Why do I love a midi dress? Because, you’ll never know if I shaved my legs or not!
Denim Skirt
A denim skirt just screams summer to me. You can pair it with sneakers, sandals, mules, or even a pair of heels, but never flip flops, because flip flops are a crime against fashion. I think the wash of a denim skirt is super important, because too light of a wash gives off a Laguna Beach 2003 “my car is dunzo” vibe and that’s not what I’m going for.
Cute Sandals
Everyone needs a simple pair of sandals that they can slip on when they are running out the door to grab water ice or ice cream with their friends after a day by the pool, but flip flops are NEVER an acceptable choice babes. If you are reaching for a pair of rubber flip flops, I implore you to reevaluate your decision. They are a hideous excuse of a shoe and ruin your outfit, but I will get off of my soapbox and let you learn from your mistakes this summer. Next summer, I will take no prisoners.
So, what can’t you live without this summer? Let me know!
xoxo,
Kelly
