My October Favorites

Hey Babes!

We made it to November bitches, which means that this year is almost fucking OVER.  Can I get an Amen? I am a celebrity, get me outta here. I am also thankful that the election is coming up soon, so I can stop being spammed by texts, mail and pop up ads about voting. I have been registered to vote for four years now and I am an active voter, now LEAVE ME ALONE! Anyway, today I wanted to share the five things that I loved during the month of October.

Schitt's Creek

I finally caved in and watched the final season of Schitt's Creek and wow, I'm sad. I didn't except the whole season to be so emotional, but thankfully there were spots of levity sprinkled throughout. I will stan David and Patrick forever and I hope 15 years from now, we get like a reboot and they're living happily ever after in their cozy cottage in Schitt's Creek. I am also super heartbroken that Alexis and Ted didn't work out and that is also why I need a reboot, because I have faith that they will reunite after Ted is done studying species of flies and saving turtles. It should be noted, that I DETEST reboots and the fact that I want a follow up to this series, is a big deal. Also, Moira Rose will always be my queen and spirit animal.

Bailey

While I am always in love with my beautiful chunky chocolate lab, in October I was attached to her arthritic hip. Bailey is now eight years old, and my little chocolate drop hasn't been feeling all that well, so I have been giving her extra love, cuddles and of course cookies. I really appreciate the rainy days where we can snuggle on the couch and watch movies together.

Taylor Swift's Red Album

So, I think everyone can agree that October is like Taylor Swift appreciation month and Red is the soundtrack for fall. Nothing says it's autumn quite like putting on a cardigan, a bold red lip and blasting I Knew You Were Trouble. I genuinely enjoy the entire album, but my top five go-to, favorite songs are... Holy Ground, The Lucky One, Starlight, Treacherous and State of Grace. Fuck, okay that was really hard. My Libra moon makes it so hard for me to be decisive. It's not my fault, okay?

The Real Housewives of Potomac

The word on the street, is that the ladies from the P are killing it. I am obsessed, enthralled, and addicted. I devoured all of the past seasons on Hulu and I am also now all caught up on the current season. I think Robyn Dixon is an underrated housewife and she adds a sense of calm to the cast. Gizelle is beautiful, but I wouldn't tell her a damn thing unless I wanted EVERYONE to know my business. I love the relationship between Monique and Chris Samuels and I think they are my favorite Bravo couple other than Robyn and Juan. Karen Huger is my queen, and I am endlessly amused by her wigs and antics. I like Wendy thus far, and I appreciate that she doesn't hesitate to call a bitch out on her bullshit. Candiace is Candiace. I think she is stunning, but I have a lot of mixed feelings about her. Whew, I could write a whole post about Ashley and Michael Darby, but I will just say, that I am happy Ashley had the child she had wanted and waited for, but she should have left Micheal a while ago. I find him to be an insufferable and arrogant douchelord.

TinyTown Cookies

In October, we celebrated my dad's birthday and when we were walking around Lambertville, New Jersey we ventured into a speciality cheese shop. My dad loves a charcuterie board so while he examined the cheeses, I found the cutest mason jars filled with shortbread cookies decorated for Halloween. As a slave to aesthetics, I purchased the expen$ive treats and they were some of the most delicious cookies I have ever had. I savored the cookies and shared them sparingly with my family! If you live in the area, I would definitely recommend trying these treats.

That is all I've got for you babes today! I hope you all enjoyed this post and I also hope that everyone has a healthy and safe November.

xoxo,

Kelly
