My February 2020 Favorites

Hey Babes!
As February comes to a close, I wanted to share my favorites from this past month. February flew by, but was it an insane month for anyone else?

Every Other Weekend by Abigail Johnson

While I was meandering around Barnes and Noble in January, I picked up this book and I finished it during the month of February. I haven't read a great YA fiction novel in a minute and I was obsessed with this story and the writing style. The protagonists, Adam and Jolene are smart, complex, at times completely frustrating, but most importantly they are characters that you root for the whole time.  If you are looking for a YA fiction romance book that encompasses plenty of real life topics, I would give this book a try. Trigger Warning: this book does explore sensitive topics like sexual assault, so if that is something that will effect you negatively then I would not recommend this book for you.

Strawberry Pound Cake scent from Bath & Body Works

I found this scent this past summer, and I was devastated when B&BW stopped selling the scent in mid August, because they were rolling out their fall line. So, when I saw that my favorite sweet scent was back for Valentine's day, I picked up a candle, a wallflower plug in, the body spray (because I am a 12 year old), and the body wash. The Strawberry Poundcake fragrance is sweet, but not sickeningly so. It doesn't smell like sugary birthday cake, but instead like a subtle fresh strawberry cake shortcake if that makes sense.

MexiCali Salad from Trader Joe's

Your girl, fucking hates cooking in general, but especially before I go to work. I detest meal prepping, so to combat that, I have been picking up some meals for work from Trader Joe's and I love their MexiCali salad. Who would have thought that a Jalapeño Caesar dressing and sun dried tomatoes would be included in a prepackaged salad? I'm a fancy bitch. This salad is filling and delicious and I highly recommend it anyone who doesn't have time to prepare meals for work and doesn't want to buy food court or cafeteria food.

UNUM

I was introduced to the Instagram planning app, UNUM a couple of years ago via Danielle Carolan's YouTube channel and during the month of February, I relied heavily on the app for work. The app allows you to preplan the flow of your Instagram feed, which is very helpful for brands and influencers (cringe)alike. I would have been even more of a neurotic mess than I was without this application.

Lauv

Not to brag, but Spotify recognizes me as an OG fan of Lauv and I have been listening to his music nonstop this past month. I heard "Tattoos Together" while I was getting ready for work last week and I exploded with happiness. I have been listening to that and "Feelings" on repeat. Wanna hear what else, I have been jamming out to this month? Check out my February playlist on Spotify.

Those are most of the things that I loved during this super short but stressful month. What did you babes enjoy in February? Let me know down below!

xoxo,

Kelly
