Things I Loved This Week
Hey Babes!
This week has been truly treacherous as fuck, but today I wanted to share the things that have kept me somewhat partially sort of sane through all of the craziness.
Legally Blonde The Musical Original Soundtrack
While I am not sure what prompted me to listen to the soundtrack from Legally Blonde The Musical, because I am not exactly a musical theater type of bitch, but I die for Legally Blonde. ( Did anyone else watch the MTV one season wonder, where they searched for Laura Bell Bundy's replacement for Elle on Broadway? ) "Serious" is honestly the best song to jam out to on the treadmill. I highly recommend it for a serotonin boost.
Bath & Body Works Lotion
I have been washing my hands with water so hot that it could literally melt the flesh off of my bones and in turn my hands are so scaly. So, I have been living off of Bath & Body Works hand cream to keep my knuckles from cracking and bleeding. Plus, the strawberry pound cake scent smells so good!
Rubbing Alcohol
I am not sure if it was Mercury Retrograde, my menstrual cycle, the full moon or the anxiety around the Coronavirus, but my skin is freaking the fuck out. I also, partially blame my friend Raquel for jinxing me by saying my skin always looks perfect, because now I have a cluster of pimples on my chin. This may be déclassé, but when I have pimples that need to disappear, I douse a cotton ball in rubbing alcohol and wipe it all over my face and it works! Thank you, universe. Yes, I do use toner, but sometimes I need something with industrial strength.
Disney +
Yes, I am late to the game, but wow I'm so happy that I jumped on the bandwagon. I have already watched... The Parent Trap, The Little Mermaid, Cheaper by the Dozen, Mulan, Zenon and Moana. I have so many more films to watch and this is truly a streaming service that is everything of the sort. Now, I just need a streaming service that has all early 2000's rom-coms and chick flicks. Someone contact me, it is a million dollar idea.
The Bachelor Finale / After The Final Rose
Look, I loved Peter Weber on Hannah Brown's season of The Bachelorette, so much so that I was devastated when he was chosen as The Bachelor, but this season was horrible. The majority of the girls were not likable at all, Peter made the worst possible decisions the whole time and it was insanely boring, but the finale was a solid ten stars. The proposal, the breakup, Hannah Ann's character development, and the BARB of it all. I laughed so hard, I was legit losing consciousness. I watch reality TV to be entertained and I was so entertained. Thankful that this shit storm of a season ended in a memorable way. Sad for Peter, happy for me.
Those are some things that I loved this week! I hope you are all hanging in there and washing your hands thoroughly.
xoxo,
Kelly
