National Napping Day


Hey Babes!

Today is Monday and it just so happens to also be National Napping Day! We may have lost an hour of sleep, but the universe is granting us a day dedicated to sleeping! We have no choice but to stan. 

In honor of this glorious holiday, today I wanted to share my napping / lazy day essentials!

Preparation For The Day 

Before we discuss the deets of the day, it is imperative that you decide what kind of napping day you’re having. Are you actually going to sleep or are you just gonna chill in your bed? Along with that comes a game plan of what you’re gonna do if you’re not going to nap. Plan out the movies or show you’re viewing ahead of time, so you don’t spend you’re precious nap time, looking for something to watch! 

Set The Vibe 

First things first, I’m the realest. Anyway, the vibe is the most important component to a successful cozy day! I say, keep the room cold, spritz a little room spray or light a candle and keep the lights off. If you’re feeling extra Tumblr, I would put on some white string lights for ambience. 

Serving Lewks 

Now that the vibe is set, you need a cozy outfit that is cute but also conducive to sleep. Avoid anything fitted, zippers and rompers, because listen if we’re chilling we need to be able to pee easily. I love a matching set and a cute pair of socks! If you’re feeling extra Legally Blonde pop on a robe. 

Snack Attack 

Snacks are a vital part of the experience. I love Sriracha Hippea Puffs, baby carrots with hummus, and popcorn. Choose something that isn’t going to leave crumbs everywhere in your bed! 

Once you’ve got your snacks, it is time to fucking relax! Settle into your bed or on the couch and press play. You deserve this! This is a national holiday after all and it should be observed.
