October 2022 Favorites

Hey Babes!

Yesterday was the first of the month which means… that it’s time for my monthly favorites! So, if you want to know what I loved during the month of October, keep on reading.

The Bodyguard by Katherine Center

I picked this book up at Barnes and Noble in September and I finished in October. This fictional story is about a famous heartthrob actor named Jack Stapleton and his small but mighty female bodyguard named Hannah Brooks. Hannah has been recently assigned as Jack’s personal bodyguard/pretend girlfriend. A very juicy concept!

I love to read, but admittedly it has been a while since I have read a book without a hint of spice and I forgot how much I enjoyed just PG story telling. Does that make sense? Anyway, I really liked this book and I think you would to!

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

The Beverly Hills Reunion aired during the month of October and here are a few of my thoughts! I worship at the alter of the rational and reasonable Garcelle! She deserved an actual apology for the shit she went through this season and how her son was treated. Sutton is a gem and a half! I want to root for Crystal but she is her own worst enemy. Kyle is a phony martyr and truthfully a pretty unreliable friend and sister. Diana is a one seasoner. Goodbye Bosnia. In a world of spices, Dorit is salt. Fancy, cute salt but salt nonetheless. She is bland and boring. Erika is a villain, but not in the cute anti-hero way, just in a cunty way. Rinna has served us well, but I see a pink slip in her future.

Midnights 3am Edition

Meet me at midnight! I have been listening to Taylor Swift’s latest album non-stop. Also, I feel like the universe and Taylor have been listening to me say that me and Ms. Swift are good. Our one sided feud has ended, fences have mended and Taylor will be in Philly on MY BIRTHDAY! I’ve gotta go and shimmer on my 28th birthday.

Naan Dippers from Stonefire

Hi, my name is Kelly and the Naan Dippers from Stonefire are my latest snack obsession. My mom brought these home for me to try and I am addicted. You place a few in the microwave for 30 seconds and then you have warm Naan. I enjoy mine with hummus and baby carrots! So Good. Delish!

Vampire Academy on Peacock

When I was in high school, I devoured The Vampire Academy book series by Richelle Mead and I was immensely disappointed by the movie adaptation that came out in 2014. It was cringy as fuck, but to be fair, it did remain true to the plot of the first book.

When I saw that Peacock was releasing an original series based on the book, I was interested but I had little to no hope for it. Now, if you can get past the bad acting and writing in the first episode, it gets so much better! While it veers quite a bit from the original plot of the book, the story being told is also interesting. I think the creators of the series actually did a great job at combining the plot of the book with a new story that will keep viewers guessing. Also, Dimitri Belikov played by Kieron Moore is *chef’s kiss*

Well, my loves that is everything I was obsessed with this past month!

xoxo,

Kelly
