Movie Night - Princess Diaries Edition

Hey Babes!

One of my favorite things to do is plan events. I enjoy the whole process from inspiration research, to selecting the décor, planning the menu and setting up the space. I’m also a minor control freak!

Anyway, one of my besties, Daisy had an idea to do a Princess Diaries Viewing Party and I immediately created a Pinterest board! Today, I’m sharing how to create the perfect Genovian night fit for a Queen.

Attire

Deciding on a dress code is probably one of the most important parts of planning a girl’s night. We did a casual PJ party, but you could definitely do school uniforms, plaid or even make it a formal affair with long dresses. Whatever you choose, make sure everyone has a tiara! My pajamas are from Walmart and my slippers are from Target.

Menu

While planning the menu, we both knew we had to have pizza with M&M’s, corndogs, green ice cream and something involving pears.

Pears are the official fruit of Genovia, so we incorporated the fruit three ways! We garnished our mock-tails with a pear slice, picked up a petite pear tart and adorned our charcuterie board with a few pear pieces.

When it pertains to planning a menu, I always like to see what I have on hand first, before I go out and purchase anything! We’re ballin on a budget. Also, don’t be afraid to allocate tasks to your friends.

Other

I highly recommend listening to the Princess Diaries soundtrack while you set up your event to get in the spirit.

It could be cute to serve some hot tea or spiked warm beverages as well!

You can do a spa night with face masks, a pear inspired cocktail and of course cucumber for your eyes.

If you’ve got the room, set up an area for mattress surfing or even ballon painting.

I hope you babes enjoyed this post and let me know of you throw a themed movie night!

xoxo,

Kelly
