July 2022 Favorites
Hey Babes!
Happy August My Loves. I’m pretty fond of the month of August if I’m being honest. I love stationary and school supplies, I love any opportunity for a wardrobe refresh and August also means that we are almost ready for Fall. Ahhh!
Despite, July being a major suck-fest, today I am sharing my five favorites from the previous month.
The Agatha’s by Kathleen Glasgow and Liz Lawson
I purchased this YA mystery / thriller novel back in May and I finally got around to reading it. Holy Shit, it was amazing! I couldn’t tell you the last time I read a murder mystery book. Maybe like a Nancy Drew book when I was in grade school? Maybe! The Agatha’s centers around two teenage amateur detectives. Iris Adams is the girl from the wrong side of the tracks who desperately needs the reward money so she can start over somewhere far away from Castle Cove. The second sleuth, Alice Ogilvie is obsessed with Agatha Christie mysteries and was once best friends with the dead girl before she stole her boyfriend. Sounds interesting, right?
Only Murders In The Building
Not sure why I really love this show, since I’m not usually a scripted TV girlie, but I love Only Murders In The Building. Martin Short gives me life. I love Oliver and his penchant for dips and theatrics. Cara Delevingne’s character is creepy as fuck and is obviously using Mabel! I mean, can we all agree on that? Charles Hayden Savage needs his ass kicked ASAP for seeing Jan in jail. Dude, the fuck are you doing?
Honestly, right now I think there is something super sketch about Bunny’s mom. But, I have no idea who killed her!
Hot Decaf Tea
When you’ve got Summertime Sadness aka Covid, a cuppa decaf tea won’t solve all your problems, but it will help. A nice hot beverage during a heat wave may sound torturous, but it’ll coat your throat and make you feel like you can breathe easier!
Lucifer
Okay, I know I just said I’m not a scripted Tv girlie, but I’m a contradiction. My Mercury is in Gemini, it’s literally not my fault. My parents and I have been watching Lucifer from the beginning on Netflix and Lucy makes me chuckle. My mom and dad have watched this show before and while I do know some of the major storylines, it’s nice to fill in the blanks.
OUAI Hair Oil
The heat and humidity have been wreaking havoc on my hair. I’m talking frizz and out of control baby hairs. I have been applying this oil daily or at least multiple times a week. This product keeps my hair feeling soft and not like a tumbleweed.
That pretty much sums up everything I loved during the month of July! Oh and also, I am obsessed with Rachel and Gabby as The Bachelorettes!
I hope you babes have a great August.
xoxo,
Kelly
