Trying Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Bread Mix

Hey Babes!

Pumpkin is one of my favorite seasonal flavors, so when I saw this boxed mix at Trader Joe’s the basic bitch in me jumped for joy! I’ve never made any of Trader Joe’s prepackaged cake or bread mixes before, so it was my first time working with the product. While the bread turned out well, it did not taste like pumpkin to me, instead it tasted like a spiced cake, like molasses and cinnamon. I’m not complaining, because I love spiced baked goods, but it’s not what I thought I was getting.

But, I digress. Today I’m sharing how to make this pumpkin bread!

You’ll Need…

1 Box of Mix

2 Large Eggs

1 Cup of Water

1/2 Cup of Oil

First, you’ll preheat the oven to 350°F and then combine your mix with two eggs, one cup of water and a half cup of oil until you reach a smooth consistency.

Then, you’ll place the batter into a greased pan and bake for about 35 minutes. The directions say to bake for 55-60 minutes, but my bread did not need as long, because I split the mixture into two pans!

I decided to coat one of the loaves with a cinnamon, light brown sugar and white granulated sugar mixture and the other I frosted with a cream cheese icing. But, you could add chocolate chips, walnuts or even cranberries to yours!

This bread is delicious, light and fluffy! It’s just not the pumpkin bread I was expecting, which I  honestly still find a little disappointing. I suppose that a faint pumpkin taste is better than an overpowering or superficial one! It’s still pretty good, so if you babes end up trying it out, let me know!
