Recent Beauty Buys
Hey Babes!
I have been in such a shopping mood lately, and I don’t just mean that I want to browse the aisles for a good deal, I mean I want to spend money. Make it rain at the cash register just to feel something again. Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, I can’t find any clothes or accessories that I really love.
So, I have been channeling that obsessive need to spend money into purchasing beauty products. Today, I’m going to share a small haul of skincare, haircare and makeup products that I have purchased within the last month or so!
The Ordinary 100% Plant-Derived Squalane
My local Ulta doesn’t usually carry products from The Ordinary, so when I saw this product I immediately picked it up. I enjoy this hydrating oil and I also love the price point at $7.90 especially in comparison to my beloved Josie Maran Argan Oil.
Sol Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream
I got this tightening lotion as a birthday gift from Sephora and I am obsessed with this product. I’d like to think it’s working, so I’m gonna tell myself it is. It also smells like delicious coco butter.
Glossier Boy Brow in Black
I am a huge fan of Glossier and recently I have been considering switching up how I fill in my brows, so I bit the bullet and purchased Boy Brow in black and I love it so far. Admittedly, I have naturally thick eyebrows, so I use it with a light hand to avoid looking like Dan Levy.
Glossier Cloud Paint in Beam
When I first got into makeup, I used to paint my cheeks with my MAC blush, and I mean fully cover them. I stopped using blush all together, maybe halfway through college and lately I have felt that my face has felt a little dead. So, after trying a sample of Glossier’s Cloud Paint from a previous order, I decided to try this buildable blush in the peach shade.
Glossier Lash Slick Mascara
My name is Kelly and I have the worst luck with mascaras. For years, I was faithful to Benefit’s They’re Real mascara, but then it started melting down my face. And so did every other fucking mascara I tried. I’m taking a chance on this Glossier mascara. At first glance, the wand seems thin, which I actually prefer and it doesn’t appear to be overly wet. Fingers crossed!
MOOD CBD Infused Muscle Balm in Mandarin Nectar
Truthfully, I’m not someone who loves to pop Tylenol or Advil, so I decided to try this soothing balm that I found at American Eagle. It’s mess free and smells like mint gum. It also really works when I’m sore from one too many Chaturangas.
QUAI Hair Oil
I am no stranger to using a hair oil to tame my baby hairs and frizzy ends, but this is the first time I’ve used a QUAI product! I genuinely enjoy this lightweight oil, because it keeps my curly baby hairs tucked into my messy bun without making it look greasy or stiff!
Honest Beauty Tinted Lip Balm in Blood Orange
I am a big fan of Honest Beauty products and tinted lip balms, so of course I like this product. It’s super sheer, but also buildable if you’re looking for a little more color.
Rare Beauty Dewy Lip Balm in Empathy
Before the stans come at me for my wavering feelings, to be clear I don’t love Selena Gomez, but I’m a sucker for cute packaging and a tinted lip balm. So, here we are. This product has more color pay off than the tinted balm from Honest Beauty, and it also very smooth and moisturizing.
Those are all of my recent beauty buys! I hope you babes enjoyed this post and let me know what beauty products you’ve tried recently.
xoxo,
Kelly
