Penne For Your Thoughts?

Hey Babes!

One of the things I enjoy the most about the world reopening is being able to go out to eat. Look, while I love to stay at home, snuggled in my sweatpants while I eat takeout with a movie on, sometimes a bitch likes to served. I like a bread basket and a fountain diet coke and I like to waited on! Okay! Plus, everyone knows the food is always better when you’re at the restaurant.

This past weekend while celebrating my friend Lauren’s birthday, our foursome enjoyed a meal at Maggiano’s Little Italy Restaurant in King of Prussia, PA and today I’m sharing the dishes we got and how we’d rate them!

Appetizer

For our starter we split the Classic Tomato Bruschetta and it was the perfect sized appetizer to share between four people. The bread was soft and coated with garlic seasoning while the bruschetta was light and fresh. Honestly, we devoured it.

What Laura Ordered

Entree

For her meal, Laura ordered the Chicken Piccata, which consisted of capers, spinach and lemon butter served with Spaghetti Agilo Olio. While she enjoyed her dish, Laura wished that the chicken was a little thinner and thought the dish could have used more a little more lemon. 8.5/10

Drink

Laura chose a Chianti Classico from the brand Castello di Gabbiano and she chugged the whole glass. She said it was not too dry or too sweet, it was perfect. She probably would have downed more if we didn't have plans afterward. 10/10

What Lauren Ordered

Entree

For her meal, Lauren ordered the Chicken Marsala, which consisted of mushrooms and Marsala sauce and was served with Spaghetti Aglio Olio. She loved her dish, the sauce was immaculate and the pasta was al dente, but she wished that the chicken was a little thinner. 9/10

Drink

Lauren chose a Pinot Grigio from the brand Folonari and she probably would have finished her glass if she were not driving. While she liked her drink, it was a little dry for her liking since she prefers a more citrus forward wine. 6/10

What Lorianna Ordered

Entree

For her meal, Lorianna ordered the Famous Rigatoni D, which consisted of herb roasted chicken, mushrooms, caramelized onions and marsala cream sauce. The pasta was al dente and the dish had a good ratio of pasta to chicken, but the meal was heavier than she thought it would be. TG for to-go boxes! 8/10

Drink

Lorianna chose a Sauvignon Blanc from the brand Brancott and thought that it, "did the job", which to me meant that it was a meh wine. She did enjoy that the beverage was lighter and appreciated the pour. 7/10

What I Ordered

Entree
For my meal, I ordered the Rigatoni Arrabbiata, which consisted of grilled chicken, spinach, and a spicy tomato cream sauce. When I took the first bite of my pasta, I was like, oh fuck this is spicy, here comes the acid reflux. Thankfully, every bite was not like that. I'd also bet that there was ricotta cheese in the dish which helped tone down the spice! The pasta was al dente and I still have some leftovers in the fridge. I am not sure if I would order this again, but it was good! 7.5/10

Drink
For my beverage I selected the Moscato Mojito which was comprised of Svedka Vodka, Moscato, Simple Syrup, Mint, Lime, Soda and a selection of Fruit Purée. I am not much of a drinker, and I always prefer something sweet that masks the taste of alcohol and this drink did just that. It was light and tasted like a sparkling water. I really enjoyed this cocktail and I would order it again. 10/10

Dessert

By the time our waitress asked us if we wanted dessert, we were all stuffed. Each of us experienced a wave of regret over our decision to wear high waisted jeans. Our angel of a waitress, brought us some complimentary lemon cookies to celebrate Lauren's birthday and they were perfectly tart and light.

Overall, we had a great time and if you find yourself near one of their locations I would recommend stoping in!

xoxo,
