How To: Galentine's Night In (02/11/19)

Hey Babes!

The day before Valentine’s day is the day where we celebrate the babes in our life, aka Galentine’s Day! No, it is not the day for eating gallons of ice cream and sobbing while you watch rom coms, because you’re single. Well, I guess you could, but that’s not what we are doing on February 13th this year ladies!

Today, I’m gonna share my tips on creating the most perfect Galentine’s Day Get-together!

Step One: Pick a date and a theme

The first thing you have to do is choose a date and time that works for everyone’s schedule! After tackling perhaps, the most difficult hurdle, it is now time to hit Pinterest for theme ideas!

Here are a few cute ones:

• Babes Who Brunch or

• Love My Gals A Bruch

• Ovaries Before Brovaries

• On Wednesdays, We Wear Pink

Step Two: Grab Cheap Decorations

I am not a DIY type of bitch. Honestly, it is much easier and less stressful for me to purchase shit at the dollar store, Walmart, Target or Michael’s depending on my budget.

Pro Tip: You don’t have to break the bank! Check prices and go in with a plan of action! Also, check out the dollar section and see what you already have at home that you can use!

Step Three: Create an Insta Worthy Moment

We’re millennials. Nothing happened if there weren’t beautifully filtered photos on Instagram. Okay! So, grab some streamers, confetti, a prop or two and get ready to help your gals out with snapping the perfect pic!

Pro Tip: If you wanna have an Insta moment, don’t be an asshole. Tell your girls to dress accordingly!

Step Four: Snacks & Drinks

You can’t invite people over and not feed them, that’s rude. This part kind of depends on your girl gang! If you’re of legal age and like to chug rosé, then grab some bottles or make a Pinterest worthy sangria. If your posse is aiming for a more low-key night, order a pizza and some mozz sticks. Or if your babes are crafty AF, have a cupcake or cookie decorating session! Either way, snacks are key.

Pro Tip: The bill doesn’t have to solely rest on your shoulders. Venmo exists for a reason and ask your girls to pitch in for snacks! If you want to do something special, that’s totally up to you, but don’t feel obligated to go all out and spend a fortune.

Step Five: Party Favors

Be the hostess with the mostess and create a goody bag or get your girls a cute card from Target! I love anything sentimental to commemorate an event.

Pro Tip: Hit the dollar section or the dollar store to find something cute and festive! Remember that some people hate clutter and food or a treat is always a great option!
