National Boyfriend Day (10/03/17)

Happy Mean Girls Day💕Today is also apparently, National Boyfriend Day, so I’d like to give a shout out to all of my favorite boyfriends💑👫💜

Nathan Scott (One Tree Hill) - One half of the One Tree Hill power couple Naley, the fictional Nathan Royal Scott is the best TV boyfriend. Protective, hot, selfless, athletic, rich, caring, and hot. He starts out as a major playboy douche, but he changes drastically over nine seasons. He adores Haley and even when they are briefly separated going into season 3, he still wears his wedding ring on a long chain around his neck. What a gem.

Chuck Bass (Gossip Girl) - Blair & Chuck. Chuck & Blair. The best couple from the upper east side. He rigs the votes so she can win prom queen, they support each other’s dreams and they are the king and queen of scheme. Okay, so their relationship is not always macarons and peonies, but they were MADE for each other. 3 words, 8 letters, say it and I’m yours.

Caleb Rivers (Pretty Little Liars) - Caleb and Hanna make up my favorite couple from Pretty Little Liars. He is the most involved with trying to stop A and he is always there for Hanna. Thank God Ravenswood was cancelled, because I cannot imagine either of them with other people. Yes, okay he dated Spencer, but no one is perfect.

Cory Matthews (Boy Meets World) - Will any real or fictional relationship be as pure as Cory and Topanga’s from Boy Meets World? They grow up together and they have babies and build a happy life together. He never ever gives up on their love story! They fully understand and accept every part of each other. He also always tells her how much he loves her, which is the sweetest. The O.G OTP.

Max Medina (Gilmore Girls) - Funny, attractive, intelligent and accepting of Lorelai’s faults! ALL HE WANTED TO DO WAS LOVE HER & RORY! That’s it. But, she would not let him fully into her life. He just wanted to make her happy and Lorelai ran away right before their wedding. I’m glad that she ended up with Luke, but Max was a great boyfriend.

Damon Salvatore (Vampire Diaries)- He waited and waited for her to finally realize that they were meant for each other. He would have done anything for her to happy and he did. He sat back as she dated his brother and he gave her the cure to become human, just to make her happy. Their chemistry was OFF THE CHARTS!

Jake Jagielski (One Tree Hill) – A genuinely nice guy. A DILF. He loved Peyton and he wasn’t a habitual cheater, like Lucas Scott. I can’t be the only one who rooted for Jake, Peyton and Jenny to live happily ever after in Savannah Georgia together? He would have treated her like pure gold for the rest of her life. God, he let her go so she could be happy with Lucas. He let her go, because he loved her. Justice for Jake Jagielski.

Wade Kinsella (Hart of Dixie) – Look, Wade was not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, and if you compared him to Jake or Max he would come up short, but he loved Zoey so much. He balanced her out, attempted to bake her black and white cookies after he ate them all, he challenged her, and they made each other better people. Also, fuck George Tucker and JOEL!

Sebastian “Bash” de Poitiers (Reign)- Okay, maybe it is cheating because he was never Kenna’s boyfriend, just her husband, but he loved her and wanted to give her the best life he possibly could. They could have had a great life together. Looking at you, Kenna.

Jess Mariano (Gilmore Girls)- I’m not going to pretend like I want a boyfriend like Jess. He sucks at communication and if he’s not running away from all of his problems he is pushing people away from him. BUT, Jess and Rory’s bond is something one could only wish for. He intellectually challenged her, he understood her on a level none of her other loser boyfriends did, he balanced her out and he was the only one that was able to break through to her when she left Yale. He became a better person because of her and he was there for her throughout the course of the series to pull her back from the ledge. Also, their scenes were filled with chemistry.
