National Cookie Day - Blogmas Day 4

Hey Babes! 

Happy Blogmas Day 4 and Happy National Cookie Day! While I am not an expert baker, I do enjoy making tons of cookies during December for my friends and family. Today, I will be baking some homemade holiday themed cookies. 

Well... wasn't I in for a surprise when I opened the fridge to bake some cookies and we were out of fucking eggs. Apparently, everyone in my house has been consuming eggs daily in their breakfast sandwiches and didn't leave me a single one to bake with. Thankfully, my mom loves cookies and purchased these pre-packaged break and bake cookies. 

In honor of the holidays, I thought it might be a good idea to make those Oreo cookies into traditional Christmas cookies shapes. So, I pulled out my gingerbread and tree cookie cutters, and got to work. Holy fuck, that was an epic fail. 

Because, I am nothing if not innovative and resilient, I went to Google. I figured someone somewhere had to have a recipe for eggless cookies. Thankfully, I found a recipe from Dessert For Two where this ingenious woman replaces eggs with cream cheese. The stars and the universe aligned when I opened our fridge and we had cream cheese! 

So, I baked the cookies as I normally would with a stick of butter and then I added in the softened cream cheese to my mix. They take a little bit longer to bake, you can't even taste the fucking difference. The cookies look beautiful and taste delicious. 

What did we learn today, babes? Well, I learned that when in doubt don't assume you’re Ina Garten and instead just fucking Google it.
