National Coffee Day
Hey Babes!
While I haven’t always enjoyed coffee, I have always loved coffee crumb cake. Ugh, so delicious! So, in honor of National Coffee Day today I wanted to share an easy way to indulge on this holiday with a coffee or crumb cake recipe. You’re gonna want a slice of this cake alongside your iced oat-milk latte today!
Let’s Get Started
1 Box of Crumb Cake Mix
1 Egg
2/3 Cup of Water
1/4 Vegetable Oil
Powdered Sugar
Extra Cinnamon Powder
Extra Light Brown Sugar
First, you’ll preheat your oven to 350 °F and while the oven is warming up, combine the cake mix, an egg, two-thirds a cup of water and one-fourth a cup of vegetable oil in a large bowl! Warning- The mixture is pretty thick and a there will be a few lumps in there, so don’t expect a smooth consistency!
Once the ingredients are combined, you’ll pour half of the mixture into a greased pan!
Then, you’ll sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture on top of the layer in the pan. I like to pat it on with a spoon, to really ensure the cake gets a good coating!
After you pat the cinnamon sugar mixture onto the bottom layer, you’ll pour the rest of the cake batter in the pan and coat it again with cinnamon sugar!
Since, I love sugar I also like to add on a little extra light brown sugar and cinnamon powder.
Bake the cake for about 45 minutes at 350°F and then enjoy!
Be careful not to take the cake out of the pan too early or it’ll totally crumble like mine did. Ugh, well at least it still tastes great! Plus, if you sprinkle a little powdered sugar on top of the slices, no one will even notice.
Serve this cake with an iced coffee and enjoy your Wednesday!
xoxo,
Kelly
