Let The Games Begin

Hey Babes!

I love the Olympics and what better way to celebrate incredible athleticism and lifelong dedication to a sport than with cupcakes? It feels very American to me.

You’ll Need…

Box Cake Mix

Frosting

3 Eggs

Canola Oil

Water

Mini M&M’s

Metallic Sprinkles

This recipe is extremely simple and the most difficult part of making this treat will be taking the time to sort out the M&M’s.

First, preheat the oven according to the directions on the back of the box. You’ll add in 3 eggs, a cup of water and a half cup of oil and combine until smooth. Then bake the cupcakes for about fifteen minutes. Once out of the oven allow them to completely cool.

Now, it’s time to decorate!

First, we’ve got the abstract Olympic Torch with a combination of brown, orange and yellow mini M&M’s. You just have to squint a little to see the resemblance.

Next we have a modern interpretation of the Olympic Rings. Simplistic and minimal, but it tells a story.

Then, to shake things up we have Olympic medal cupcakes using some metallic sprinkles I found at Target. If you’re not first, you’re last.

Finally, we have an homage to the Olympic Rings. Traditional and delicious!

Seriously though, these treats are easy to make and I love any reason to celebrate!

xoxo,
