Smart Sweets Taste Test
Hey Babes!
I first heard about Smart Sweets a little over two years ago, and since then it seems like every blogger and influencer is talking about them. *Insert a super dramatic eye roll demonstrating my annoyance that people have caught onto my favorite healthy candy here *
Here’s the thing, I am not someone who drinks or eats anything that I don’t enjoy the taste of, which is mainly why I don’t drink alcohol. These candies actually taste really good for having about 3 grams of sugar a bag and a ton of fiber. Smart Sweets has come out with a bunch of different flavors and today I’m gonna taste and rate all of the ones I could find on a scale of 1 to 5 stars. You can trust me, I’ve got great taste.
Sweet Fish
The sweet fish candies have an almost identical texture to Swedish fish, but they are a little firmer and longer than a traditional Swedish fish. They have a nice berry flavor and they don’t taste super healthy, so it feels like you’re having a real treat without the guilt.
Rating 5/5 Stars
Gummy Worms
I’m not sure if the gummy worms are just a seasonal item for fall or if they’ll be introduced as a permanent candy, but they are pretty good! They have the same consistency as classic gummy worms, but there is a film or coating on top that gives the candy a different texture. While the package says that the worms are different flavors, they all taste the same to me.
Rating 3.5 / 5 Stars
Peach Rings
I love anything peach scented or flavored, so when I first saw the peach ring flavor, I was so excited to try it! They are tangy, but not sour and they are coated in a granulated stevia. These are probably my favorite flavor of Smart Sweets!
Rating 5/5 Stars
Fruity Gummy Bears
These are the first Smart Sweets that I tried and I forgot how good they were. I can actually taste the different flavors of each bear and the chew is very similar to traditional gummy bears. I would say that they are softer than a classic gummy bear though, which I really enjoy.
Rating 4.9/5 Stars
Sour Blast Buddies
These candies are the Smart Sweets version of Sour Patch Kids, which are one of my all-time favorite candies! They have that granulated stevia or sugar like coating, which is present on the Peach Ring flavor as well. The candies are smaller than Sour Patch Kids and easier to chew. You can taste each different flavor, but the sour taste is more of an afterthought.
Rating 4/5 Stars
Sweet Chews
I’ve only seen these individually wrapped Sweet Chews once, so I’ve been holding onto this bag for a little while, so I could write this post! Upon, first glance they look like chewable vitamins, which I don’t love, but I do like that they are individually wrapped. Honestly, these taste incredible and I’m very impressed. They are super chewy and soft in comparison to Starbursts which are firmer and juicer.
Rating 3.75/5 Stars
I love that Smart Sweets is a business owned by women and that most of the candies are actually vegan! Have you babes tried Smart Sweets yet? Let me know what your favorite flavor is!
